Final exam of the semester of Mrs. Aciek Course #log 10 - 2 February 2015

I wrote my last week activity at Bandung - ITB. Last week, I absent English class from Mrs. Paulin because I had to followed the final exam of semester of Mrs. Aciek course. Mrs. Paulin was teach about how to read scientist journal and also give an article to read. At campus, in the morning, I had been sitting on the chair and was waiting a lecture. I present about my thesis however my groups doesn't came with me because Mrs. Aciek already decide there were 4 student to present for each day. And for the first presentation on this week it's me, and 3 of my friends. I was a second student to present after my collage. On presentation I explained about my project that had been done but not one hundred percent process, it was almost 25 percent. Even though haven't finish yet, Mrs. Aciek give me some advise to finish it quickly. After finish, I go back to SEAMOLEC and arrived on midnight. Until February, I would prepare to finish my thesis Crayonpedia.  That's all and thank you :)

Kadek 9 Feb 2015 #log 11 - Debate about Woman in Technology

English class start on 9 am a clock until 11 am a clock with Mrs. Paulin. Today we have a new material to practice directly on debate. we have a topic on debate is "Woman in Technology". On debate, we divide group into 2 groups. One group is for men and one group for women. This is my first time do debate in English. I feel a little bit shy and not confident to communicate what I think. but I try to deliver what my statement to participant. The ladies group is first, and it time to my group. While we present the presentation, there is something mistake that we don't put our statement. I realize that it's a big mistake. I was absent on last week. During debate, I get interrupt by Mrs. Paulin because I talk outside of the topic and Mrs. Paulin correct that be careful to deliver the sentence to participant. the importance think that don't go into personal when take an illustration or explain something about debate. Each group on debate have an opportunity to present their presentation. And each group have to consider a balance view of the problem. The last think that we always remember is how we debate in smart, good with the one word is SEXI : State, Explain and Illustrate. This is easier you can communicate and do in a good debate. I have a new experience in debate. Thank you for today all. :)

Activities at Bandung #Log 9 - 22 January 2015

I remember to write my daily log. Today, I am sitting on desk of SEAMOLEC training division and start to write. On 22 January 2015, I was in Bandung-ITB to make an appointment with my supervisor thesis and of course with my thesis group. Mrs. Aline absent on class and she give us an assignment to do at home. We write a resume from data that she already give us by her presentation via email. I finish it before go to Bandung. I write on one page and send to Mrs. Aline's email. On afternoon, I depart from rent house to shuttle bus of Prima Jasa. I always use this transportation because it's cheaper that travel car about 38.000 rupiah. But, however it's dangerous when a bus just throw out us on the expressway. The speed of bus average normal within 40 km per hour or 60 km per hour. So, we spent times more than 3-4 hour to arrive at Bandung. My activity at Bandung is show my thesis progress and meeting up with my thesis group and don't forget to hang out with my friends.

Log 9 #Day 9 - January 22th, 2015

Today is free from class for us because Mrs.Aline tell us in the milis group that she is sick and cannot come to class for today, but she give us assignment to do. In the task, Mrs. Aline ask us to write a one page summary about 4 figures she give in assignment file she give us. The 4 figures tell us about global data snapshot social media indonesia user 2014, how media social slowly become daily activities for all Indonesian people and even become a new addicted. Social media give a good impact to development of information and communication technology and along the way they give a bad impact too, people who become addicted and spend their time everyday just to post and chit chatting in social media slowly retret their self from reality, they become less interact with people around them because they are too immerse with their own world in social media.

Actually when Mrs. Alien tell us that she can not come, We immediately go to Bandung to meet our thesis supervisor and give him our progress. Although we are going to Korea for double degree program but still we have to help our thesis group finished our thesis project. It's tiring going back and forth to Jakarta and Bandung but it worth it though.

January 26 - Web 2.0 Era and LoA

Monday, January 26, 2015. It is Mrs. Paulina class today. Like always, she send us reading material before class. So, we can prepare before class. This time she send us a paper written by Catherine McLoughlin and Mark J.W.Lee. It titled “mapping the digital terrain: new media and social software as catalysts for pedagogical change”. This paper talking about all of us need to rethink models for teaching and learning adaptation to Web 2.0 era. Mrs. Paulina teach the class about paradigm of e-learning, she tell us to read the paper, discuss it with friends, and made mind map from this paper. After all of that we must present the mind map and then create a resume from that. The class so much fun when Mrs. Pauline teach us, it is feel the lesson really into us.

There is another big event this day. Letter of Acceptance come from Puk Yong National University. But it must be corrected because some of us changes their passport to e-passport due to any circumstances. One of our friend, already search how to make visa to Korea. There is photo, under graduate degree certificate and photocopy, transcript and photocopy, and $1000 bank statement in sponsor account that we needs. Even thought, it already said by Mbak Cahya, but I quite shock about $1000, because I don’t have money that much, so does my parents. Perhaps I found a way to solve it later. If LoA come and we already found the subsidy, Korea embassy will let me pass bank statement.

January 23 - Smart Transportation

Friday, January 23, 2015. Me already in Bandung, because there is no class since yesterday. Together with some of crayonpedia research team, we take travel in Lebak Bulus terminal. The leader of my research team contact me last night. He ask me to help with data that he lose when reinstall he’s laptop. It was all the idea and plan for the research. He reach Bandung at last Sunday. He also meet our academic supervise talk about our research yesterday. I must see him for update information, discuss our research, what to do, and together we restore data to server. It is new server, physically hahaha… We get new server with low specification so our supervisor ask his team to replace it with higher spec, Lucky for us I think.

Talking about research, we separate team three on three because this joint degree. There is Asep, Dela and Supri the leader, all of them stay in ITB. Then Adzany, Fino, and me that join dual degree program to Puk Yong National University, Korea. We plan to continue the research and keep contact even though we separate with two different country. Everyone knows Korea have better transportation system and condition. I will learn more about smart transportation in Korea. I believe I can learn more if I go there and it will be great influence for my project, and of course it will be good for our team. Oh yeah… I thinking learn hangul will be nice if I go to Korea, let’s start research hangul ^_^

January 22th - Between Research and Joint Degree

Thursday, January 22th, 2015. This day was rainy and cloudy. Our teachers didn’t came to class due to any circumstances, but there is home work from Ms. Aline. The work about table, image, and figure reading. We should write our interpretation from four figures that she email to us. The figures about Indonesia. The first images contain numbers, graph about Indonesia population, Internet users, facebook users, and people who use smartphone. The second comes with graph from any social media users. The third tell about smartphone usage percentage and the last show percentage contract type for Internet using by Indonesian.

Contrary from we who attend the academic communication skills for joint degree class at pondok cabe, our classmate in Bandung are on fire with research product. I can read each team progress clearly, because I always maintain contact with all of them. In a way they already reach certain goals. This means they will finish research soon and accomplish target to graduate at June 2015. I really envy them, it would be nice to graduate with all of our classmate. FIGHTING GUYS!!! 

So… here we are, start walk different path, pursue each goals that we have. It’s been more than one year we attending our first class. I still remember when Mr. Ary Setijadi walk into class at that Monday, welcoming us all, kindly supervise us. I still remember sit very back in the class with Asep my best friend at my right and two row in front of me, in opposite side from middle class sit Kokoy, Qori and Diena.

On Wednesday, I come to seamolec building at 9.00 am. All of the people already make a preparation to welcoming the education ministry of Vietnam. Me and my friend also, we practicing the e-angklung in the meeting room on third floor. We all using batik as the dresscode in that day, and I'm using the red one, my favourite batik. Then, the time is coming, we played the song with e-angklung in from of the Vietnam people, that was an honour, I'm so happy to do that. After that, we had lunch at the lunch room.

Tuesday, 27 Jan 2015

On Tuesday, theres no class in that day. So we just practice again the e-angklung. The song is from The Beatles with the title All My Loving. And I just realized, that when we want to play Angklung, we can't play it alone, we need another to comparing the note to make a good sound. After practising Angklung, me and my friend go back to our home. And because i'm a bit late from pamulang, i got a really bad traffic jam, that makes me arrived at home at 7.30 pm.

On Monday, I come to that morning class with Mrs. Pauline. This is the first time we met at the class. We learn about the paradigm of e-learning. We read the paper, discuss, made a mind map, presenting the mind map, then made a resume. So far the class was so much fun. The class finished at 11.30 am, then like usual we did, we had lunch at the lunch room. After that, we had a little practice to play e-angklung, to welcoming the education ministry from Vietnam. After that, I went back to home with my friend zanny. And like usual, the traffic from pamulang to tebet was made me little bit dizzy, almot 3 hours on the road is a bit hard to do everyday. The total time is 6 hours, 3 hours from my home to pamulang, and the next is 3 hours from pamulang into my home. Well, I enjoy it.

On Suday, I didn't go anywhere. I'm just stayed at home. Wake up, breakfast, working my task, cooking then eating my own food, watching tv then sleeping. Not really cool i thought, but it doesnt matter, because Sunday will always come. haha. So I have nothing to share. Thats how my Sunday going.

Finally Saturday is come. I make an appointment to meet my friend on Saturday. We met at Kokas Mall, it's very near from my home. So that's why I choose to hanging out with my friend there. We had so much fun, talking, laughing, eating, and enjoying our free time together. Seeing the traffic around the mall makes us little bit relief, because we only need to walk without using any transportation, that's one way to make us not dizzy about the traffic, and because the place is near also. After that, we went to my home. Waiting the traffic, and then my friend went back to her home.

On Friday, there's no class in that day. So I dont have to woke up early and get ready to go at 6.00 am in the morning like usual. hehe. Because I'm alone, so i'm just lying in my laziness in my bad, doing nothing, sometimes I played a game in my phone, and everything repeated until afternoon, and the times ticking and show me that I have to had a lunch. Then I wake up, clean home, getting bath, have lunch, open my laptop, and working with my thesis project. Because i dont have any plan and any outdoor activites, so I just stayed at home. Enjoy my time at home, on Friday.

On Thursday morning, I accompany my father to go to Soetta Airport, because my father have to go back to his office at Jambi. So, I can't come to the English class on that day. The morning was so cloudy and rainy. After that i went to Cikini again to take a letter from my father's office there, and then i went to Carrefour to buy some food. I bought vegetable, fish, chicken, milk and several kind of fruits, and then i went back to my home, alone. But i'm not affraid, even i have no friend at home, at least i have so many food to cook. haha..

Well, on Wednesday i come to the morning class. The class start at 09.00 am, and fortunately i came on the time. We discuss about some topic, make a mind map, make a resume, an several person doing presentation in front of the class. I think that's one of thounsand way to make a student knowing deeper about the material. The class finished at 11.30 am. Then my and my friends had lunch together at the lunch room. And after that we go back to our home.

On Tuesday, I went to Immigration office to take my E-Passport, finally i got it. I thought that e-passport would be have another look from the old one, but it just look the same. The difference only on the cover, there's a chip inside. After that I went to my father's office in Cikini to send a letter, and then I went back to my home. At home, I clean up my room, then at night I work for my thesis project. It still 60%, because I stull studying about the methode of the research. After all, that's how my Tuesday.
