Kadek - January 15, 2015 #4th Log



Thursday, it was our fourth day in English class by Mr. Andri. We started the English class from 9am until 10.30 am o'clock. In the beginning, Mr. Andri asks to introduce all of us in the front of class. He wants to know about who are our names, where we were came from and what the future expectation join double degree Korea. All of us, one by one was talking about our stories and our plan and within thirteen minute, we all finished it. After that Mr. Andri continue the class with show two kind of video and ask we all to watching the video. We have a task to write on paper about what the hidden message on two kind of the video. Each video played twice and after the first video finished, suddenly we write our suggestion about what the video was talking about. We wrote one paragraph for the first video. Next, Mr. Andri asks some participant at class room to read their suggestion. There are many reason and different thinking with the video. But commonly, the video was talking about how technology can affect the whole life of the baby. And we know how reaction the baby between magazine and tablet. However technology was effectively to help people to learn everything but we have to consider when the technology was good for them.
For the second video was related with the first video. The video was talking about a different digital native and digital immigrant. On that video show how method learn in old ways really different with right now. When the second video was finished, we wrote again the summary of the video. Mr. Andri invited the participant to the front and writes on the white board their suggestion about the different between digital native and digital immigrant. We have a conclusion about two arguments, such as:
·         Digital Native:  visual/multimedia, fast learner in IT for who was born between 1990 and above, social networks, connectivity with technology, bad healthy effect
·         Digital Immigrant: text, slow learner in IT for who was born between 1990 and below, neighbor networks and connectivity with the people, a little bad healthy effect.
The English class finished with create mind map an article about using twitter as a tool in e-learning. Our task was collected on that moment.
