Today we have 2 session a day, first it was by
Mrs. Pauline and second by Mrs. Yanti. First lectures is continuation of
yesterday topic about how to make tables, figures, and graphs in writing
academic. Mrs. Pauline explain to us on to how we make our paper for academic
purpose, the formulas and framework to build a good the paper, start from
introduction in paper that contains background, problem statement, and the
purpose of research until conclusion. The important part in academic writing
was in discussion part where we have to explain and illustrate the result of
our research into a tables or figures and the discussion itself. We need to
make all of it logically, we explain it in a deduction way of writing or in
induction way of writing. After brief of explanation, Mrs. Pauline give us an assignment
to explain the figures and tables on the group materials that she gave. We devided
into 3 group, and each group member must explain the tables and figures then
Mrs. Pauline will give us a comment and correction to our presentation.
For second lecture, we meet Mrs. Yanti. She give
us a lecture in the afternoon after Mrs. Pauline. Actually Mrs. Yanti just replace
her absent on the last week schedule. She teach us about how to ask a question,
and then she give us a video to watch and she ask us to make a question from that
video. The things that we learn when we make a question is:
1. Formulate
in your mind the things that you want to ask first.
2. Write
down the question first
3. Listen
and see carefully to the explaination given.
We watch about 3 video, one video take about 15
minutes length. And then we need to make question from that video. And for the
last video, Mrs. Yanti ask us to write all the information we get from video
into a paragraph.
