Sevli's second day log - class of preparation

Tuesday, January 13, 2015. It is second day I live in South Jakarta and the first day of English preparation class. It’s rainy in early morning but become cloudy till afternoon. Nice day to learn something new. According to schedules was made in yesterday meeting. We must enter the class at 7:00 am, but for some reason, the class start little bit late. It was Mrs. Dina Mustafa teach us English in first class. She start the lesson with introduction, each participant must introduce themselves in English, just like any other English class. Each participant must tell their sure name, nick name, place of origin, and unlike ordinary introduction we also tell the latest TOEFL score that we get. Mrs. Dina tell us to get use with English, don’t be shy just practice and use English as much as we can. Then Mrs. Dina gave us reading materials an article titled “computer networks as social networks”, an article about mind maps, and an article about mind maps and brain storming. After that, she gave 50 minutes to read four pages the first article to find the main idea of the article. Then teach us about mind maps. Mrs. Dina also tell us what is different between mind maps and concept maps, what benefits we can get using this method, how to draw a mind maps. At the end of class, Mrs. Dina tell us to implement this skill with first article from reading materials, draws a mind maps and using it to create a page of summary from first article.
