Today we meet with our second English tutor Ms. Aline
Almandha, she greet us and absent us one by one to know about all the students.
Our subject for today is video comprehension. Ms. Aline show and play video for
us for about 15 minutes, the video displaying jokowi speech on APEC conference
in Beijing, China. On the video, Jokowi explain about Indonesia continental and
the opportunity to invest in Indonesia. Jokowi trying to attract many
businessman from APEC member to make investment in Indonesia. jokowi also explained
to the audience about national fund resources from national budget for 2015 and
from fuel subsidy, from fuel subsidy jokowi offer many opportunity from all the
sector such as fisheries, farming, mass transportation, macro and micro
enterprise, infrastuctures, and many others.

As the video ended, Ms. Aline ask us about why jokowi need to
give speech in English in international conference and why don’t he use
tranlators instead. If he use translators to deliver the information about Indonesia
investment opportunity it will clearer and easy to understand. Many people
going pro and contra about jokowi English skill but I think he have a good
intention to show us that no matter how bad or difficult it will be better if
we doing it by ourself rather than depend on others people strength. That’s the
points of valuable lesson that I get from our number one president, Jokowi.
After we discuss and review the video then Ms. Aline ask us
to make mind map from the material on the video and she give us assignment to
make a review in one page and also make daily log as usual. Huffh fighting
everybody! We can rock it till the end!
