Our lecturer today is Mr. Andri. Our class started by Mr. Andri’s introduction about himself. Currently, he is a public relationship manager in SEAMOLEC. He join SEAMOLEC since 2008. After that, one by one, each of us must introduce ourself by mention our surename, nickname, bachelor degree university and major, master degree university and major, and also our expectation for join this double degree program in Pukyong University, South Korea. During this class introduction, one quote that make me relax was “Just speak up your mind, don’t be afraid to make mistake, all of us learn here!” he said. After that, Mr. Andri show us video about baby who play with magazine and iPad. The baby tried to pinching and swiping magazine as if she / he play with iPad. I think giving an iPad to a baby was a mistake, because in their age they should practice with their motoric sense through hard objects instead of an LCD, such as play with rubber balls which can strengthen their hands. And i think it will influence baby future of learning. Then, Mr. Andri show us video about Digital Immigrant versus Digital Natives. This video tell us that world has changed, nowadays kids used to live with devices around them, such as computer, phone, tablet and so on. The baby in video before can be called as Digital Natives, because she / he used to play with iPad so that she / he think that magazine is an iPad that doesn’t work.
